TESTIMONIALS

What a magical place for families with little ones. Caserio del Mirador is run by the amazing Sarah and Johnny, who create an intimate setting for families to unplug.

Every detail a parent could think of when traveling with little ones is covered, think milk in the fridge, biscuits, toys and puzzles in the room, cots, and more. There are bunnies, pigs, chickens a pony and a donkey for the children to feed, a sand box, playground, pool and a big room with toys and pool toys.

Sarah and team somehow manage to make it the perfect vacation for both kids AND parents – tea time for kids to have dinner with others, followed by taking leftovers to the pigs – and then amazing adults-only dinner after bedtime by their fabulous chef (yes, baby monitors are provided too!). This place is truly one of a kind.

“We had a fabulous week with our two boys! We stayed in the La Casita apartment which was truly sublime with a breathtaking view. 🤩

Everything has been thought of to perfection so that the children can have fun (playground, animals to feed, vegetable garden, swimming pool, etc.) and so that the parents can relax.

The food is delicious and the atmosphere of the place and the interactions with the other families make the stay truly fantastic (the children play and eat together while the parents have an aperitif).

It’s hard to describe how good we felt at Caserio del Mirador and we can’t wait to go back!”

“I didn’t really want to go on holiday. We have a 2 year old daughter and I envisioned sleepless nights and coming home even more tired then before our holiday.

Caserio del Mirador really surprised me, the parents actually have a sense of holiday and peace themselves. The place is the perfect size, the kids get to know each other quickly and start playing together. This gives you as parents the opportunity to relax a little yourself, maybe even have a little cerveza or vino.

I don’t need to mention the stunning location, the great food they serve the adults, or the beautiful rooms, because I’m sure you could find that somewhere else as well. What really stood out for me was the people running the place and the way they do it!

Signed by – a grumpy dad who didn’t wan’t to go in the first place but is very happy he did.”

“Having been home for several weeks our little boy still asks about going back to see Sarah and Luna the cat! It is an amazing retreat that strikes the balance between being fun for children and having enough for adults. Sarah is fantastic with children and an amazing cook. It didn’t take long before she had our little one helping out in the kitchen and feeding the animals after teatime.

Sarah and Johnny create a sense of community across guests, which works really well. This is especially true with the kids teatime (with alcohol provided for the adults), and communal dinners once the kids are in bed. We were reluctant to leave our little one in the room on his own, but within 2 days of being there, and how safe everything feels, we were happy to leave him in the room, with a provided baby monitor giving us the peace of mind he was ok. This allowed us to get to know others and enjoy dinner, which is fantastic.

If you’re looking for something more intimate than a run of the mill larger hotel that can feel quite chaotic, look no further. Thanks to Sarah and Johnny for making our holiday so fun, relaxing and memorable.”

“In a word, incredible. As you drive up the beautiful windy road to the house you know you are going to enjoy every aspect of staying here.

From the warm welcome to the difficult (never want to leave) goodbye, our stay was outstanding. Sarah has thought of every aspect of a family holiday, so don’t worry if you’ve forgotten anything as she’ll have it.

The grounds are immaculate, the atmosphere chill and the company, whether Sarah’s or fellow guests hits right in the sweet spot of incredibly social but also allowing you your own space.

The food is impeccable and recommendations of day trips & restaurants comprehensive. Even with 2 young kids, this was the most relaxed holiday I’ve had in years. Can’t wait to visit again. Thanks Sarah to you and your team!!!”

“We had high hopes for Caserio Del Mirador (my sister had been and given a great review), but Sarah and her team absolutely exceeded them. They are all so welcoming and accommodating. We stayed in the Casita, which was bliss – the terrace is huge, the view is stunning and everything was so clean and comfortable, you really feel like you are getting away from it all at Caserio Del Mirador.

We had dinner most evenings on the terrace and could not fault anything; it was absolutely delicious, fresh and homemade. The pool is very clean as are the surrounding chill out areas. The animals are a delight for children, collecting eggs each day became part of our morning adventure. Toys are dotted around the grounds, there’s a play park, trampoline and sand pit.

A fresh breakfast of tasty croissants, breads and fruit is brought to your room every day. Nothing is wasted, and children are encouraged to feed the animals leftovers. Caserio Del Mirador is a very special place and we cannot thank Sarah and her team enough for the wonderful holiday we experienced, 5/5.”

“What I really enjoy about Caserío del Mirador and something that’s a real aim of a holiday is to wholly forget the stresses/ pressures of day-to-day life. For example I didn’t think about work once, which is quite unusual. And it’s great to never worry about what we should do each day to keep busy.

When I asked Maia what her favourite bit of holiday was her answer was “all of it”. And she referred to Caserío del Mirador as home the whole time we were there. It works for us because Liam can escape for a run in the hills in the morning and I can do Pilates to get some time to ourselves.

Something else I found amusing is that when asked what we should call her baby brother to be Maia replied “Turron” so he was definitely a hit. I didn’t take that many photos as we were so busy getting stuck in.”
