The Pool Area
For many families, a Spanish holiday is all about being poolside in the sunshine. Our collection of inflatables and toys are yours to play with or take to the beach. We have ride-ons, pool toys, floats, beach and sand pit toys and games, puzzles and bricks to be enjoyed with other children or quietly in the shade if anyone needs some quiet alone time. There are UV and straw hats if the little ones don’t like the one you brought. Forgot an essential pair of goggles? Johnny likes to scoot off on his bike and meet the Amazon delivery.
“The perfect place for our first family holiday. We had the most amazing time with our 1 year old, it’s so well catered towards little ones that it makes for a lovely relaxing time for parents too.”

Our 15 Acre Playground
Our terraced hillside offers olive groves, walking paths (perfect for buggies and backpacks) and several playgrounds for endless fun in the sun. The playground by the stables has a slide, a swing for older kids, and a baby seat (or two for when twins are in the house!) Under the carob tree, the big red tractor is always a hit, while wooden horses and a little cart inspire role-play adventures. Need a cowboy hat? Grab one from the bar! Past the sandpit you’ll find a trampoline, smaller climbing frame and chairs for parents to watch the fun and take in the view.
The Reading House offers a peaceful spot with cushions and shade, grab a book from the bar for a story and a snooze. Have a picnic by the airstream or just explore; visit the animals, collect almonds and wild garlic, pick flowers for the table, feed the goats a croissant, and back to the bar for an ice cream. There’s plenty of space for families to enjoy privacy or watch the children make friends. We double up on most toys, so no need to share if we haven’t embraced the concept yet… anything to make toddler days a little easier.

“We had story time on the trampoline this evening. On the way back, I asked Oscar if he would like to come back next year. He said “yes, and the next year and the next year and the next year until I am 20.”

Toys & Books
Bring a favourite teddy or toy for the journey, but once you arrive your children will be spoilt for choice.
We take great pleasure in stocking our toy cupboard If trucks and trains are your thing, we have that covered. If there is a new craze we may not know about, feel free to check. Sometimes it’s beads and bracelets, or a request of transformers or a particular glove puppet they enjoyed the year before.
We have tea sets and train sets, Lego Duplo Brio and loads of toy animals and cars. There might be a dolls house in your room, or a rocking horse, a toy kitchen or maybe the big red tractor is the main event.
And if you have a special bedtime book that would help make the first days easier, just let us know. We add to the library every week and encourage the children to swap and share during their holiday. Anyone for a cuddle and a story in the mirador?
“The most fabulous week at Caserio del Miardor. Our first holiday away as a family with our 2 boys aged 2 and 6 months. It’s just perfect for families, we will never forget it.”
The Animals
Children love new things and feeding the animals is a favourite activity, it’s almost like making new friends. Who will you visit first, the goats, the chickens, the piglets, the bunnies or the ponies and donkey at the stables? If you leave your door open, Luna or Dora, one of our cats might come and visit you! These loveable personalities are the source of many happy memories.

“What a wonderful holiday we had with you, B has finally stopped asking to feed the piggies every day!”

Best Time to Travel with Babies & Toddlers
The freedom to travel outside of school holidays with pre-schoolers is not to be underestimated. High temperatures in July and August aren’t for everyone. If you don’t have to travel when prices are at their highest and beaches crowded, stick to June and September for summer temperatures. May is our favourite month to be in Spain, think beautiful lush landscapes with wild flowers and blue skies, perfect for exploring and going on adventures.
