Welcome to Caserio del Mirador

My name is Sarah and Caserio del Mirador is my home. I share it with about 140 families a year, all of whom are visiting with a baby or toddler and often travelling abroad for the first time as a family.  Our team know the ropes, we know what you need, what you are anxious about, and what makes for an easy and happy holiday for everyone.

So why Caserio Del Mirador? Well quite simply we pride ourselves on offering a holiday where families can come together, share special moments and go home with memories to treasure.  We all lead busy lives, so consider this your space to reconnect and enjoy some precious family time.

You’ll stay in your own private apartment and share our wonderful outside space and facilities (pool, sandpit, play areas, trampoline) with other guests, typically no more than 4 other families.  What this means is instant playmates for the kids (and plenty of cuddles for the resident bunnies and ponies) and for the grown-ups, other adult conversations and something from the bar.

To give you a more practical example, five days a week I cook tea for the children serving up when collective tummies are rumbling!   All the kids sit around our outside dining table (we’ve got plenty of highchairs, bibs, cutlery etc) and tuck in, often buoyed along by watching each other eating and trying things out.  Food is a mix of local Spanish dishes paella, croquettas, and some sea food to try, along with some universal favourites (pasta, pizza, roast chicken) plus plenty of fresh vegetables, fruit and homemade cake. I don’t mind if broccoli goes flying or yoghurt is smeared – you can leave the clearing up to us!   With the kids eating, there’ll be cold beer and wine for the adults. Grab a chair and chat with the other guests or leave the DH supervising and enjoy a peaceful shower or massage.

Grown-up dinners are again available each evening the kitchen is open.  Usually everyone eats together under the stars, but we can bring supper to your terrace if you’d prefer.  Menus are really based on what’s available in the local markets and guests’ dietary requirements.  Gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian – as long as we know we can cater!

Booking is simple.  You can check our availability on each apartment here, or drop me an email with your name, details of your family (kids ages, likes/dislikes) and travel dates and I’ll work with you to secure the perfect week.  In fact, drop me an email even if you don’t know when you’d like to come and we can chat about weather, pros and cons of different seasons etc, and I’ll see where we can fit you in with like-minded families travelling with kids of similar ages.
